Researcher, Scholar, and Teacher
I am a political scientist specializing in social movements and American political development. I am currently a postdoctoral scholar at Tufts University.
My research explores how social movements build the organizational capacity to shape public institutions. My book project, Building the New Right: How Young Conservatives Captured the Republican Party, explores how young conservative activists worked to create the infrastructure that would transform the Conservative Movement (and the Republican Party) for decades to come.
Other projects I’m working on explore the relationship between presidents and movements through the bureaucracy, as well as mobilization by contemporary young adult groups on the right.
